SHRI BHAGWAT RASIK JI MAHARAJ
‘Nikunj leela’ or ‘Nitya vihar’ involves the love play of Priya Pritam which is enhanced by sakhis and is performed in the divine land of Vrindavan.
Priya Pritam are called by following names also: Shyama Shyam, Laadli Lal, Kunjbihari Kunjbiharini, Priya Lal, Kishore Kishori, Pyari Pyare, Kuvanri Kuvanr, Lalnaa Lal. There is no entry for Radha Krishna as they are Priya Pritam’s incarnations in the ‘Braj Vrindavan’ who take birth and disappear when their leelas are finished.
There is no birth and death in Nikunj. The divine couple is ever youthful and is in the age group of 14-15 years Their sole purpose is to give happiness, pleasure and satisfaction to each other and do not expect anything for themselves – unconditional pure love!
Lalita sakhi who is closeset to Shyama Shyam took avatar as Swami Haridas on this earth to propogate the philosophy of pure, eternal love and about Nitya Vihar. With him also started the music of today along with the raags etc. Akbar and Tansen were his disciples amongst many other close ones who carried forward his legacy and philosophy.
Swami ji worshiped, adored, sang and propagated PURE, DIVINE & ETERNAL LOVE. This kind of love is experienced only in Nikunj- a place where Shyama Shyam are constantly engaged with each other with the help of sakhis. They are so much in love that they cannot stay without each other even for a second. Even the blink of an eye makes them impatient and they feel as if they have not seen each other for ages. The love between them is ever increasing and every moment is a new moment for them as if they have just met. All their intimate activities are arranged by the sakhis who are of the same nature and age as the divine couples’.The sakhis serve, adore and worship Priya Pritam with Sakhi bhaav. This is higher than Gopi bhaav.
In the divine land of love, the greatest and the sweetest Nitya Vihar is always and continuously flowing. Sri Kunjbihari and Sri Kunjbiharini are forever under the influence of this divine love, because of which their every pastime, every meeting, every union feels like the very first one and it leaves them wanting for more. The divine couple is always mesmerised and enamoured with this love, which is possible only because of Sri Lalita sakhi. Sri Lalita sakhi is their heart and soul and along with other sakhis is involved in facilitating the pastimes and loving activities of Sri Shyama Shyam. Looking after their smallest of needs, with great fondness, the sakhis are also the spectators of the great union of the divine couple. These three (Sri Kunjbihari Sri Kunjbiharini and Sri Lalita sakhi) are like three bodies and one soul and Sri Vrindavan is their identity. For the divine couples' pleasure, sakhis have taken the form of Yamuna River, birds, deers, trees and climbers.

APPEARANCE OF BIHARIJI
Every morning after bathing in Yamuna River, Swami ji used to go to Nidhivan to do his bhajan (prayer), post which he used to sit in a dense grove and meditate on his favoured, pure love personified Sri Kunjbihari and Sri Kunjbiharini. This was his daily routine. Seeing their guru offering obesiences at one particular place only, all the disciples became very inquisitive, but none could gather courage and ask Swami ji the reason of his praying at one particular place only. When Sri Vithal Vipul Devji saw the desire of other disciples, he requested Swami ji to disclose the mystery. Swami ji said, “Inside the cave is a divine palace where Sri Kishore and Kishoriji are sitting on a beautiful flower bed and I am serving them along with other sakhis. That is why I offer my obesiences here everyday”.
Understanding the intense desires of all the students, Swamiji asked Sri Vithal Vipul Devji to enter the cave. As soon as he entered, he saw divine and enchanting palace with divine lights, where the divine couple was seated on a beautiful bed and were laughing and teasing each other. He also saw Swami ji there serving them and increasing their joy. Sri Vithal Vipul Devji paid his respects and was very happy to see his guruji over there. On being hinted by his guruji, he gave the nectar filled pot to Swami ji outside the cave and again came inside. When he came inside, he saw that the divine couple had become one in a deity form. He hugged the deity and came outside. Swami ji too hugged the deity and offered best quality food, clothes and jewellery after bathing it. The whole sky was filled with sounds of praises. It was a divine festival and everyone was in complete ecstacy. The deity epitomises pure love, youth, eternal nectar of loving devotion, so it was named BANKEBIHARI. Every day 12 gold coins used to appear at the lotus feet of Sri Bankebihari. Swami ji used to sell them, get ingredients and offer best quality food to Bihariji. After giving prasad to all the devotees he used to make three piles: 1.For animals like monkeys living on land, 2.For peacock, birds and all other flying animals, 3.For fishes, tortoise and other water animals. All these animals used to eat form their piles only. Such was the effect of Swamiji on them. Swamiji used to have only a handful of gram (chana) every morning. Later on being told and requested by Bihariji, he started having a roti which he used to make after getting alms from people of Rajpur at night after putting Bihariji to sleep. He also used to sing pads (a form of poetry) to Bihariji which he used to hear in meditation. Swamiji and Bihariji were and are one even today!

Swamiji & Bihariji
APPEARANCE OF SWAMI HARIDASJI
Viharidas vihar ko udayan karan Haridas,
Saakhi bhakt ko bhar sake rasikan ke man traas.
When the 'divinity' felt the need of spreading the divine love on earth and quenching the thirst of the pure rasik devotees along with educating them with the essence of pure love, Sri Lalita Sakhi appeared on this earth with the consent of the divine couple as Sri Haridas. He spread the pure love amongst the pure devotees. Without the blessing of Swami Haridas ji no one can understand the grave meanings of pure love and the essence behind it. Only with his mercy, the rasik devotees are constantly enjoying the sweet nectar of pure love...
while the others who are not eligible cannot be a part of this pure love. Swami Haridas ji appeared in a wealthy village in Vrindavan called Rajpur. He was initiated in the Nimbarkiya Sampraday by his rasik guru Sri Swami Ashudhir ji. In 1537 and in the afternoon of the eighth day (Wednesday) of Bhadramas, Sri Gangadhar ji's wife Srimati Chitra ji who was love personified gave birth to Swami Haridasji. The divine baby's affect reached far and beyond. Sri Ashudhirji rushed to bless the divine baby when he heard the news of his birth. He took the baby in his arms and was filled with ecstacy. With great fondness he blessed the baby, gave him Kanthi (small necklace), put
Tilak on his forehead, gave him Prasad, spoke a Mantra in his ears and called him Haridas. As the days passed Sri Haridas ji grew into a pure devotee and learnt the lesson of love and divine music form the birds, flowers and trees of Vrindavan. Some of his followers remained with him always who later with his blessings got to witness the eternal pastimes of Sri Shyama Shyam and were also initiated by him.

THE ESSENCE OF SRI KELIMAAL
The seed and essence of all and the land of utmost devotion Sri Vrindavan, witness the everlasting play and ongoing continual activities of Sri Kunjbihari and Sri Kunjbiharini. In this land everything is in the form of ONE. There is one love, one sweet nectar, and one form of beauty which cannot be encompassed. This love and sweet nectar keeps increasing every fraction of second and this in turn keeps the divine couple non satiated, enamoured, impatient and longing for each other, in spite of the fact that they are always with each other every second. Their intense love for each other does not allow them to separate and are for ever in a state of ecstasy. The rasiks thrive on this sweet nectar and it is their lifeline. To bless these rasiks with the love and nectar of the divine couple in the form of their service, Sri Lalita Sakhi in accordance with their wishes incarnated in Vrindavan as Sri Haridas. He appeared in a village called Rajpur. He was initiated by Sri Swami Ashudhir in the NImbarkiya Sampraday which was a mere formality. Sri Haridas ji renounced the worldly pleasures and devoted him self in spreading the message of the pure and highest love! His simple way of life and his purpose took him to the zenith of devotion. In this divine state, he sang the glories of Sri Shyama Shyam and these words were later known by the name of Sri Kelimaal. This consists of 110 'pads'. Kelimaal is the vast ocean of the continuous joyous and loving pastimes of Sri Kunjbihari couple which is impossible to cross. The only way one can understand and enjoy the nectar of this sweet ocean is only through the blessings and mercy of Sri Haridas ji as he is the only empowered one. The teachings of Sri Kelimaal are the life and soul of the rasiks and are to be followed with full devotion in this Sampraday.
And because they are all about the divine couple, the meanings are very grave. All the vaanis are the essence of the teachings of Sri Kelimaal only. Some acharyas have translated Sri Kelimaal in form of poetry (Doha-Padya) like Sri Pitambar Devji wrote “Aabhas-Ultha” Sri Swami Radhasharan Devji wrote “Vastu-darshani” and Swami Nagri Devji wrote “Bhavarth-dIpika”in prose (Gadya) in Braj language. The latter is relatively simpler to understand. If rasik devotees read and follow this scripture sincerely, they will be able to understand its grave meanings too. Sri Swami Pitambar Dev ji initiated Sri Swami Nagri Devji in 1791.
